Description ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME Hoshinomura, Yame, Fukuoka, 2026 CHARACTER This tea smells as if freshly cooked spring vegetable broth had been sprinkled with candied flowers. Incredibly fresh, sweet, and light in taste, it lifts the spirit and carries us to the heights of mountain clearings and green foliage. Its sweetness is more sugary than umami, simple and ethereally pure. A perfect refreshment and a delightful companion for everyday moments. The infusion is vivid in color, with a creamy, soft texture and a cool aftertaste that remains enjoyable even after five infusions. This is really enjoyable and lifting sencha – shincha from Kohei Takagi. Hoshinomura is famous for its beautiful terraced tea gardens. The clean water and air, as well as the unique soil that contains a lot of natural microorganisms and minerals called “thousands of rocks” give the tea extra vitamins, nutrient and unique character of the brew. The family plantations are in safer, foggy place between the pine wood forests near the Hoshino-gawa river.
