Description ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME Hoshinomura, Yame, Fukuoka, 2024 CHARACTER A classic-character Yame sencha with a pure, well-rounded, grassy flavor. Its dark green, glossy leaves hint at strong, aromatic infusions. The rich, sweet-tart brews have a lingering aftertaste. Hoshinomura is famous for its beautiful terraced tea gardens. The clean water and air, as well as the unique soil that contains a lot of natural microorganisms and minerals called “thousands of rocks” give the tea extra vitamins, nutrient and unique character of the brew. The family plantations are in safer, foggy place between the pine wood forests near the Hoshino-gawa river.
