Description ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME China, Anhui, Huangshan 2025 CHARACTER A distinctly shaped, almost painting-like beautiful classic green tea. The liquor is a rich, luminous green, both pale and full at once. Upon sipping, it reveals a deep, vivid flavor, with lively aromatics. Alongside the signature minerality of Anhui teas, one can taste the sweet notes that result from the gentle heat treatment typical of green teas. This sweetness lingers into the aftertaste, creating a harmonious balance. An elegant, top-grade example of a traditional Chinese green tea. When steeped at 65 °C, it yields an especially sweet, almost creamy infusion; at higher temperatures, the mineral notes become more dominant. The original growing area of Lu'an Gua Pian tea lies on the steep slopes of Qishan Mountain in Anhui Province. Its history dates back to the 18th century, during the early Qing dynasty. The name "Lu'an Gua Pian" Melon Seed refers to the harvesting style: during picking, the bud is removed, and only the first, second, and third leaves are kept. The tips and stems are then trimmed away by hand, leaving only the oval-shaped leaf blades. These are pan-fired slowly, stirred with a sorghum broom, allowing the leaves to twist naturally into their signature spiral shape. The result is a wiry, coiled dry leaf that, when steeped, opens up again into an oval form. It's essential that the tea isn't over-roasted, just enough heat is used to define its character and aroma. DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE A) Traditional way in a gaiwan/clay teapot: 3-5 grams 150 ml water. According to the Gongfucha, it can be infused at 70°C, for 20-30 seconds, 8-10 times.
