The first infusion is restrained, with a pale yellow-green liquor and fragrant, delicate sips; by the second infusion, the tea reveals the deep green colour and rich density of pumpkin seed oil. Of course, it does not have to be brewed this strong, everyone should experiment to find the balance that suits them best. This is Japanese sencha after all: a tea to explore, to play with, and gradually tame to your own taste. The tea is offered in its original 50 g package. Hoshinomura is famous for its beautiful terraced tea gardens. The clean water and air, as well as the unique soil that contains a lot of natural microorganisms and minerals called “thousands of rocks” give the tea extra vitamins, nutrient and unique character of the brew. The family plantations are in safer, foggy place between the pine wood forests near the Hoshino-gawa river.
